Day of the Dead

-

Spooky Season has finally arrived! As an American, this is a holiday our communities really get excited about. Kids. Candy. Costumes. There's so much to love! And with a large Hispanic population living here, we see Day of the Dead celebrations becoming more and more popular.

I used the Lost Coast Designs DOD Baile stamp and 4 Flowers A stamps in two sizes to create this card. I colored inside the flowers with gel pens (which look great on black paper).

We're celebrating 31 Days of Halloween on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity. We'd love to have you join in this month's fun!

This month on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity we're hosting a No Body Here Challenge. We hope you'll join in the fun and create a card using only stamps that feature no body parts (arms, legs, faces, etc.). Here's my take: Follow along to see how I made this card. I used the large Shrubbery and Travel Quotes stamp from Lost Coast Designs. Submit your Challenge entry here by the end of May for your chance to win a prize!

My favorite season is FINALLY here! Hands down, Autumn is the best time of year. Cooler temperatures, colorful leaves, and pumpkin everything. Pumpkin decor, pumpkin-spiced foods--I can't get enough of it! I based the card design around this sentiment sticker that reads "Oh My Gourd, Happy Fall." I created a background using the Large Flourish stamp which I then cut into 1x2-inch and 2-inch squares as part of the September Challenge hosted by Lost Coast Designs . Follow along to see how I made this card: You'll need to work quickly if you're hoping to make today's September 30 deadline for this month's Challenge on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity . Get crackin' and maybe you'll win the prize. You got this!

Nothing makes me dream more of cooler days than when the temperature goes over 90 degrees. So, sit under your air conditioner and make a few Christmas cards! Here's one idea for you: It's a simple card to stamp using Lost Coast Design's American Gothic Christmas and Party Words , but it does take some time to color in the details: Visit the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity to submit your own Christmas in July creation for this month's Challenge.
